Oh look he's Angry... thats a change.

I'd like to talk about a bunch of films that I used to think were better then trains, (trains being my favorite thing up until I saw these films) The first and unquestionably best of the bunch is Happy Gilmore, but then there's the turd parade that sounds a lot like Little Nicky and The Water boy - heres another one I almost forgot about; Anger Management - they all seem to have a pretty damn simular person in the lead role, and thats Adam Sandler. The man who can only play himself and therefore in my opinion is not an Actor. I'm sorry Matt but its true. He plays the softly spoken nice guy who beats the shit out of people when he's angry in every single one of his movies. And they are his movies, he produces them all, and is a multi multi millionaire... so think about it your actually making this muppit even richer every time you take Shelly your high school sweetheart to the local cinema to watch Mr Deeds for the 40th time.

What about Punch Drunk love? That was soooo arty I hear Adam Sandler fans say, Well no I'm sorry but your wrong, very very wrong I usually respect opinions and generally say, well okay I disagree but fine your entitled to your opinion, However I'm very sure I'm right in this particular case. That film was merely a drawn out nicely shot version of Every one of his other films. And by nicely shot I just mean it didn't look like Mr Deeds. In Punch Drunk Love you get a nice guy who calls up a phone sex chat-line, gets conned, gets pissed of (slower then usual) and in the end tracks down the con people and gets very angry, just because it wasn't about a Hockey Player playing golf or American football doesn't make it any less the same damn film with the same damn structure and simular jokes that when you think about it are really quite poor. Please everyone honestly do you really think this is an argument you can win? Your standing up for films like Big Daddy and The Wedding Singer, and my personal favorite Mr Deeds.

None of Adam Sandler's films claim to be high art, I'm not giving out for him lying to people, I'm just saying people give him a lot of credit for being so funny and a lot of people I know seem to think Punch Drunk Love proves he can act in the same way 8 Mile proves Eminem can act. And it doesn't. Punch Drunk love is slow, stilted, and when you think about it - once again Adam Sandler fills out the same old role hes always played. The softly spoken highly strung guy who will cut your head off when he gets mad. Adam Sandler used to be funny, but then he ran out of ideas and just kept playing the same person in every film he's in. His CD's were funny when you were 12.

And for the Record his best friend Rob Shnider was never, ever funny and people who cameo in his films in my mind are lowering themselves to the Level of Rob Shnider. Rob Shnider films include Animal and The Hot Chick.
