This film was a brainless comedy I wrote during the production of The Great Piss Take 2. I was thinking along the lines of the Matrix Trilogy's Animatrix - a series of shorts the supported the Feature (Banno-matrix?). This and Moi et Ma baguette supporting The Great Piss Take 2. Along with a documentary about the Magic Elf - which was never written due to the publics endless hated for that character.

Banno's story was fun to make, and very simple as many of the scenes were already shot as they were shared with other films- much of the shooting simplely consited of filling in the blanks. I used to be proud of this film - but in retrospect it is a litttle classist - a bunch of middle class kids poking fun at the misfortune of uneducated low lives. That ignorant thinking really doesn't reflect my thought process today.

Elements of the film are funny - but as with many of my films, I think it suffers from indulgence when tighter editing would have raised it up beyond what it currently is. I think It would have been better to come up with something smarter & then tie that into 2 other films. I certainly would have avoided the trouble that came with this films never finished Sequel - Banno 2.
